Information and advice
We provide information, practical advice and emotional support (over the telephone during the coronavirus period) to unpaid carers looking after loved ones with a long-term illness or disability. We can help carers with welfare rights issues, benefit checks and applications to maximise their income and to help carers, and the people they are caring for, receive the financial support they are entitled to. We can connect carers to local community supports if they are self-isolating or shielding and are unable to get shopping, collect prescriptions etc.
People can call us on 0131 665 0135 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have a carer support work available Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. Carers can self-refer or be referred by a health or social care professional. There is also a referral form on our website: https://www.coel.org.uk/contact-us/online-referral-form/
In East Lothian.
